Progressive Challenge Step 4

Post by traveler »

Please make sure you have completed steps 1, 2,  and 3 and posted them to their respective threads before reading on...

In this step, you will be using the title and embellishment packs that you put in the kit in Step 1 and then add the finishing touch using the following instructions.
  1. Make your title if it wasn't ready to go and then adhere it to the layout.
  2. Add at least 5 total embellishments from those 2 embellishment packs, and you must use at least 1 from each pack
  3. Add  1 or 2 finishing touches from this list:
  •  Exactly 3 word or phrase stickers
  •  Exactly 3 word or phrase ephemera
  •  Exactly 3 flowers
  • 1 tag with fiber or twine in the hole (can be pre-made or you can punch/die-cut it)
  • Exactly 3 shaped brads
  • Exactly 1 acetate embellishment
  • 3 or more buttons stitched on with needle and thread (can't do this if you're digital)
  • Exactly 5 arrows all pointing in the same direction
  • Exactly 3 hearts
  • Exactly 5 stars
  • 1 little envelope or pocket
Everything should be adhered by now and your should be finished.

One additional clarification: the finishing touches do not have to come from the original kit you put together. They can, if you want to, but they definitely do not have to.

Upload your completely layout into the ACOT gallery and link an image into this thread.  Please let me know which are the embellishments from the kit and which 1 or 2 items from the list you have used. If anything is not obvious, tell me where on the layout it is so I can find it.

A couple notes: since it is now a completed layout, you should not mark it private so we can all admire your work. Please don't save a space in this thread, just post your completed layout when you are done.  Questions will be answered quicker by PM than by putting them in the thread. Please try to ask all your questions by the 15th, I can't promise to answer questions after that as I will be busy those last 2 days.

This is due on May 17 at 11:59pm EDT.

Hey Louise! After we've completed all the required steps, are we allowed to add anything else to the layout? Example: Additional patterned papers, washi, more doodling, etc.

All finished! This was so much fun, thanks for an excellent challenge.

For step 4, I used 3 mint enamel dots, and 2 brads from my chosen embellishments from step one.
Additionally, I’ve chosen 2 finishing touches from the list: 1 tag with twine and 3 hearts (2 black and 1 wood).
Add some sparkle to your life :)

NO.

However, if you feel like it needs more, just add something after the challenge is closed and I'll never know or care.

My 5 embellishments are the two Foam Sticker stars, the two round ephemera stars, and the Dude beanie.
I then added the 3 word/phrases: "straight fire", "awesome", and "send it".  All came from the stash I picked at the beginning.

Fabulous challenge.  I didn't think I would like a progressive challenge, but I do.  I like having the kit from the get go!  LOL
Hiking : Gallery : A Cherry On Top

On step four I added the title Hiking from the cork letters from step one kit. I added embellishments I chose in step one. (at least 5 and at least one from each package) I used two of the square 3D stickers, ( right of top photo, and 4 of my enamel dots,( left of bottom photo). Choose two finishing touches from list. I chose 3 phrase stickers and placed under the title. Also, I chose a tag with fiber through the hole and placed it under the dragonflies.

Here's mine - my DGD has her own recipe for making Haroset  - without the requisite nuts or wine!

Image
Haroset

My title: is the Hebrew lettering for Haroset - cut out on the Cricut - from the papers in my kit

From my 2 packages: The enamel dots on the yellow circle represent the 6 items on the Seder Plate & the apple button on the recipe/journaling is the item from the second package

From the additional item listing: I included exactly 5 Jewish stars. One on the "seder plate", one on the recipe and 3 under the title

Thanks for this great challenge!  I absolutely love how my page turned out!

This was so much fun.
The title were the stickers in the kit. The flowers were from one die cut pack and the leaves were from the other pack.
The finishing touches were twine and 3 hearts.

Here is my finished layout.  Thank you, Louise for such a fun challenge!

Image Image

1. Title was added from my selected phrases
2. I used (although hard to see) 16 of the Cloud 9 Rain Drops around both cacti and by the little flowers.  I also used the WRMK enamel shapes 2 flowers, 4 leaves, 6 dots around the cacti.
3.  I chose to add one of the finishing touches.  I was so hoping there was 3 flowers in the rusty color but of course not, lol!
Used 3-word phrases around my photo.

I really love how this layout turned out.  Thanks again for the fun challenge.
