Agreed, especially compared to PA’s Installation Manager.

Changelogs have finally been updated. Here's what they say:jamcat wrote: ↑Wed Aug 16, 2023 10:05 am Most Brainworx plugins just got a full dot update. (e.g., v1.6.2 → v1.7.0)
Most "Made by Brainworx" brands as well, except for Shadow Hills, TOMO and spL.
The changelogs don't yet list the latest versions. I’m guessing they’ve been updated for official Ventura compatibility.
- General: added native Apple Silicon compatibility for AAX
- General: added macOS Ventura support
- General: improved plugin loading time in the DAW
- General: fixed issue causing Logic to crash when closing the plugin UI
- General: improved font drawing behavior
Shadow Hills, TOMO and spL have also all been updated with the above changes now. It looks like the only one not updated is bx_crispytuner.

Only Brainworx and “Made by Brainworx” brands were updated for Ventura recently.
All Unfiltered Audio and bx plugins have been M1 native for a while, just not AAX or certified Ventura compatible, though I’ve been using VST3 plugins from both on Ventura without any issues.

How can this company have been bought by native instruments yet still have absolutely no way of updating your software in any logical manner? Its been years now and they've made zero changes with their installer software. I hope whoever's in charge of it gets the boot.

I only update when I notice an update ... there's no heads-up from PA that's for sure. I prefer to use the individual installers so I can put the .dll & .vst3 files where I want them.

The problem is the PA Installation Manager app is just a basic install script with a GUI slapped on top. They really should build detection into the software so it recognizes what you have installed and what updates are available, you know, like every other installer app

How do you notice there's an update? The only way I can see is by opening your plugin to check what version you're running, then going to the plugin alliance website to see what the latest versions are on there and comparing? Wouldn't be so bad if I only owned one or two of their plugs, but when you've got a lot, that gets old, fast.thecontrolcentre wrote: ↑Sat May 18, 2024 12:26 am I only update when I notice an update ... there's no heads-up from PA that's for sure. That's indeed the only way to do it. And it's NOT always safe to update!! Which makes it even worse.. and you'll have to send support a request for older installers if you run into trouble.
This is one area where Acustica Audio does it the best. You have access to ALL older versions at all times through their Aquarius installer (which in itself is a convoluted mess of a thing but hey at least this feature is the best in the industry!).
